Automated Equipment Machine Operators

Position Summary / Responsibilities:
  Seeking machine operators with experience in working with Automated Equipment. Must have recent forklift operating experience and valid Automotive Driver's License. This is an entry-level position which reports directly to the lead operator.

Responsibilities:

Under direction of the lead operator, the operator will operate equipment and machinery for manufacturing in multiple areas to produce the product of the company. Operators will be responsible for monitoring equipment for safety and functionality, as well as monitoring the quality of the product produced. The operator will be expected to comply with all health and safety requirements and work as a team player.
Job Duties
* Set up and operate equipment
* Monitor equipment and respond to alarms as required
* Inspect and verify quality of product
* Ensure equipment and surrounding area is maintained in a clean and safe condition
* Assist maintenance in troubleshooting and repair activities once trained
* Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations as posted and in handbooks and written procedures
* Report injuries and equipment problems in a timely manner
* Work as a member of a team, and cross-train for duties
* Reliable, dependable and responsible work commitment

Physical requirements and working conditions:

* Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work in all climate conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous situations;
* Ability to use varied hand and power tools
* Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment;
* Must have sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen;
* Must have sufficient hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio.
* Must be able to work emergency overtime as required and must be willing to work all shifts.

Educational requirements
* Minimum High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
