| Position Summary / Responsibilities: | ||||
|
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for utilizing industry
accepted methods to maintain equipment and machinery required for
production; including the evaluation of existing methods and
troubleshooting of problems. This position is responsible for performing
scheduled and preventative maintenance and assisting in machine
installation of new equipment. The Maintenance Technician will also
provide support and assistance for special projects. Experience requirements **Maintenance experience required **Mechanical/Electrical experience preferred **Ability to operate forklift/front loader **Proficiency in reading and interpreting line drawing, and schematics **Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics **Ability to change out motors, servos, drives, pumps, etc. **Ability to use tool room equipment a plus (lathes, mills, welding) **Familiar with Lockout/Tagout Procedures ELECTRONIC EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: **Understanding of PLC's, ladder logic a plus (Siemens experience desired: will likely be trained since it is not a commonly used program) **Read, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: ** Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work in all climate conditions. **Ability to use varied hand and power tools **Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment; **Must have sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; **Must have sufficient hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio. **Must be able to work emergency overtime as required and must be willing to work all shifts. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: **Minimum High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) Preferred: Two-year technical degree |
